Summer Provider Retreat
Connection to Self Connection to Other Connection to Nature
Our hope is to build and strengthen a supportive community of providers, with a shared interest in nature and mindfulness. We welcome all individuals in the health, wellness, education, and human services fields.
What?
Join us Saturday June 20 from 9:45AM to 7:00PM for our annual summer provider retreat! As we welcome in the summer solstice we invite folks to enjoy a full day outdoors immersed in nature. This retreat will focus on creativity, play, and movement. Activities will likely include mindfulness practices, IFS themed explorations, and somatic exercises. Our friend Clara Rubin-Smith McKie will also be returning to facilitate a Biodanza experience. We will end our day together with a vegetarian dinner and a bonfire, and an optional dip in the river :) Folks are welcome to camp for free on Mat's land Saturday night, or stay as late as they would like.

Where?
Set in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains along the West Branch Mill River, Heartwood Expeditions headquarters is basecamp for most retreat and group activities. At 1,200 feet, our site is home to abundant wildlife, wetlands, hemlock forests, and rolling terrain, making it a prime location to learn about and connect more deeply with nature. Our events take place outdoors rain or shine.

Why?
In our busy lives it is often easy to forget the importance of connection and community, and the value of returning to experiences that foster joy, play, gratitude, and reverance. Our hope is create opportunities for participants to connect in meaningful ways, learn new skills, and have some wholehearted fun! We are excited for the chance to spend time with old and new friends, share our collective wisdom, and enjoy a restorative afternoon/evening together.
