Connection is at the center of all Heartwood programming. While disconnection is the source of much human suffering, it is through connection that we can engage in a full and meaningful life.
What?
Join us for our annual provider retreat June 7-8! We welcome all mental health, healthcare, and human services providers for a restorative outdoor weekend in Goshen, MA (Sunday optional). Saturday will include a variety of somatic and mindfulness practices, nature-based therapeutic experiences, dinner and fire. Saturday night campout is optional. Sunday participants are welcome to stick around for a casual breakfast, with optional "sauna" and cold plunge.
Where?
Set in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains along the West Branch Mill River, Heartwood Expeditions headquarters is basecamp for all retreat activities. At 1,200 feet, our site is home to abundant wildlife, wetlands, hemlock forests, and rolling terrain, making it a prime location to learn about and connect more deeply with nature.
Why?
In our busy lives it is often easy to forget the importance of connection and community, and the value of returning to experiences that foster joy and play. Our hope is create the opportunity for participants to connect in meaningful ways, learn new skills, and have some wholehearted fun! We are excited for the opportunity to spend time with old and new friends, share our collective wisdom, and enjoy a restorative day (or two) together.
Who & When?
June 7-8 2025
Goshen, MA
Arrive between 9:30-9:45am Saturday for an official start at 10:00am. All participants are asked to stay from 10:00am to 5:00pm Saturday for a cohesive group experience.
Participants who want to stay for optional dinner, fire, campout, or Sunday morning sauna/splash are welcome to stay as long as they would like. The event will end at 11:00am Sunday.
Group: adults only (18+), maximum 16 participants
REGISTRATION & COST
Part of Heartwood's mission is accessibility. We will not turn anyone away because of barriers to cost. The cost for Saturday (no dinner included) is $75, and for the full weekend (camping and meals) is $130. For volunteers interested in work trade please follow the link HERE to sign up. Heartwood facilitators do not make a profit from the annual provider retreat. Proceeds cover overhead costs, and additional profits will go towards the construction of a shed and outhouse for future events.
